In yet another project from the Rakshit Shetty and Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah stable, it is ad-filmmaker-turned-director Senna Hegde taking the reins to bring a yet-to-be-titled road trip, rom com, which stars Diganth Manchale in the lead role.
“This is a character-driven film that is a journey of self-realization through the relationships you have in life. When I wrote the script, I felt Diganth suited the character well, as he even looks the part. He is pretty much the easygoing and laid back character that has been etched here. We do have a couple of names shortlisted for the other main roles, but they have not been finalised yet,” confirms Senna Hegde, speaking to us from his home in Kanhangad.
Of the signing, Diganth tells us, “I am really happy to be part of this film for its story, its director Senna, who comes from an ad-film background and therefore is equipped with different filmmaking sensibilities, and of course for its producers who are consciously making a difference in the

Kannada

film industry lately.”
Incidentally, this is Senna’s second film, with the first being a yet-to-be-released

Malayalam

docu-drama 0-41*. “I have been part of Rakshit’s script team for Ulidavaru Kandante. The storyline for this new film came up last November, after which we have been fine tuning it towards the right direction. The story is as real to life as we know it, for as a writer, you do tend to include your own experiences as well as those of others around you. We will be ready with the final script in about a month,” explains Senna. The film, produced jointly by

ParamVah Studios

and

Pushkar Films

is expected to go on floors this October.
