Did Darshan mistreat his mother Meena Thoogudeepa and brother Dinakar? Here's what we know...

Fans and media have been questioning Kannada actor Darshan’s behavior toward his family, as numerous reports surfaced about his brother Dinakar living in a rented 1BHK house and his mother, Meena Thoogudeepa, refusing to leave her old house 'Mupa Krupa' in Mysuru.

Following Darshan's arrest for his alleged involvement in his fan Renuka Swamy's murder, social media has been buzzing with various opinions about the actor. Now, filmmaker H Vasu, a friend of Darshan, has responded to the ongoing rumors about Darshan's strained relationship with his family.


According to TV9, H Vasu stated that Darshan's younger brother Dinakar prefers to live in a house purchased with his own earnings. He owns several other properties and intends to build a house near KLE College. Vasu clarified that Dinakar is not facing any financial difficulties and lives a lifestyle appropriate for the sibling of a superstar. There exists a close and supportive bond between the superstar and his brother.

Confusion arose when a video of Dinakar went viral, where he mentioned residing in a rented 1BHK house. Dinakar began his career as an assistant director and later emerged as an independent filmmaker. His film 'Jothe Jotheyali' was produced by his mother, Meena Thoogudeepa. Subsequently, he found success with two hit movies, 'Navagraha' and 'Sarathi'. He also co-produced Darshan's film 'Bul Bul'.

Vasu clarified that Meena Thoogudeepa prefers to reside in her Mysuru home, which was built by her late husband, actor Thoogudeepa Srinivas. She often visits her son Darshan’s home when she wishes to and is content with her life in her own house.

Darsha, along with actress Pavithra Gowda and 15 others, has been arrested in connection with the murder case of Renuka Swamy. A Bengaluru court recently remanded Darshan Thoogudeepa to judicial custody until July 4th.
