Dhruv Sharma’s untimely death shocks Sandalwood

It came as a shocker for Sandalwood fans, as well as other film personalities associated with the celebrity cricket tournament, when they heard that actor-cricketer Dhruv Sharma was no more. Reports suggested that the actor attempted to end his life by consuming poison following heavy losses in his family business. The actor then battled for his life at a city hospital, before he was declared dead in the wee hours of Tuesday. Dhruv, who is survived by his wife and two daughters, had completed shooting for the Pradeep Raj-directed Kichchu, which co-stars Ragini Dwivedi and Abhinaya.
The film’s first copy, we hear, is ready and the filmmaker is said to be readying for its release. Dhruv, who had speech-and-hearing impairment, had represented the country in cricket at various levels as part of different clubs and was an integral part of the Kichcha Sudeep-led Karnataka Bulldozers.
