Dhananjay earned a lot of praise for his portrayal of a negative character Dolly in ‘Tagaru’ and the film went on to become a huge hit at the box office. And the popular character got a film of its own, titled ‘Dolly’.
Dhananjay will essay the titular role while
Rachita Ram in playing the female lead in the film. Directed by Prabhu Srinivas, ‘Dolly’ will go on floors in December. The first look of the film has already become a rage with fans. It features Dhananjay in a violent avatar.
After the success of ‘Tagaru’, Dhananjay became popular as ‘Dolly Dhananjay’ and gained massive fans across Karnataka. Immediately after ‘Tagaru’, the title of ‘Dolly’ was registered with the Film Chamber and producer Yogesh Narayan announced the movie. The team is planning to shoot ‘Dolly’ in Bangalore, Kolkata,
Agra
and Lucknow. Currently, Dhananjay is busy with films like ‘Yuvarathnaa’, ‘Badava Rascal’, ‘Pogaru’ and ‘Popcorn Monkey Tiger'.
