Dhananjaya starrer Badava Rascal to release on September 24

It looks like this unlock phase is going to be a treat for Dhananjaya fans, like the last one. If the previous phase before the second wave saw the release of his films Pogaru and

Yuvarathnaa

, this time around he will have two confirmed releases too. While

Salaga

has already been announced as an August 20 release, it is now time for Dhananjaya's maiden home production

Badava Rascal

to hit the screens too. The team has announced that the film is going to be releasing on September 24 and lead actors Dhananjaya and Amrutha Iyengar took to their social media pages to share the poster announcing the release date with their fans and followers.

This film is being directed by debutant filmmaker Shankar Guru. Dhananjaya called the film as a tale of pucca middle class gangsters and the film has some of his closest buddies like

TS Nagabhushana

and

Poornachandra Mysore

as part of the cast too. When Dhananjaya had announced the film with

Bangalore Times

, he had spoken how the title was special and they procured it from someone else.

"I have to thank Yogaraj Bhat, for he had registered this title long back. He was gracious enough to give it to us, when he heard about our team," says Dhananjaya, hinting that the title is also in many ways symbolic of their team as it is of their story. He adds, "We are all badava rascals, so there was no way that Yogaraj Bhat could have said no. Shankar is a former courier boy, while I come from a family of farming background." Shankar and Dhananjaya have known each other from the Director's Special days.
