Dhananjaya heads to Lucknow for his next

Dhananjaya’s upcoming film Daali

, which is being directed by Prabhu Srinivas, is set to kickstart in Lucknow this December. The film, which gets its title from Dhananjaya’s character in Tagaru, has Rachita Ram as its leading lady.

Filmmaker Yogesh of Modala Sala fame, who is backing the project, tells us, “Over 50% of the film will be set in Lucknow. We will also shoot in Agra and a few other locations in Uttar Pradesh. While Kolkata was our initial choice of location, we decided to go with Lucknow, as it was apt for the setting. The locations are rugged and have that raw appeal that matches the story that we have in mind. Also, since most of the narrative is set in Uttar Pradesh, we will have a lot of actors from there.”

The first schedule will be for a month and will feature both action and romance sequences. “The plan is to shoot a couple of songs as well, which is why the preparations took a little longer, as composer Anoop Seelin had to get the tunes in place before we headed to UP for the shoot,” says Yogesh.
