Desperation takes us through roads that are unpredictable, says Rakshith

Kannada film Timmana Mottegalu, based on a short story from Kadina Nentaru by director Rakshith Thirthahalli, is set to release in theatres on Friday, June 27. Produced by Srikrishna Productions, the movie stars Suchendra Prasad, Keshav Guttalik, Ashika Somashekar, and Raghu Ramanakoppa.

Rakshith says, “Timmana Mottegalu is set against the backdrop of the Western Ghats. The story follows Timma, who is reeling under poverty and wants to secure a better future for his son despite financial constraints. With mounting desperation and no viable path in sight, Timma finds himself at a breaking point.”

“Here, he gets a dangerous opportunity when Vijaykumar, a renowned herpetologist studying king cobras, seeks help tracking the serpent. Haunted by the urgency of his son’s future, Timma agrees to the job despite opposition from his family and locals,” he adds. “As he ventures into the wild, what starts as a dangerous task quickly becomes a journey full of confusion, raw emotion, and internal turmoil. Timmana Mottegalu is not just an adventure story; it explores survival, sacrifice, and the unpredictable roads desperation can lead us down,” he shares.
