Deepika Padukone to make a comeback in Sandalwood?

Since the time of the launch of Upp2, the film has been in news. The illustrious project of real star Upendra, Uppi 2 is yet to have a female lead which has given rise to speculations. The task, which is getting tough for the makers by the day, has had names like Vidya Balan, being tossed around as being signed for the film. But, Uppi himself had cleared the air by saying that the actress was never approached for the role.
If the latest buzz is anything to go by, then Deepika Padukone’s name I has been flying around for the female lead. It seems that sources close to Upendra has approached Deepika for the female lead but how far it is true can only be ascertained by Uppi himself.
But if she does do the film, it will not be a first for Deepika. The Bangalore girl had earlier done a Kannada film which also happened to be her acting debut. The film was called Aishwarya and interestingly, it was also opposite Uppi. In fact, in many parts of the state, the actress is still known as Aishwarya.
