While Kannada movies have always had great content and have worked well on the home ground, many have been acknowledged in other film industries as well and some of those have even received international recognition owing to their exceptional plots. 'Damayana' has been selected for the 7th Darbhanga International Film Festival to be held in Bihar. The film festival will begin on February 7 and will continue for three days.

Shreemukha and he himself played the lead role in the movie. Anagha Bhat is playing the female lead role in the movie which is set against the backdrop of the Mangalore culture.
The film's protagonist is Damodar, who is a 24-year-old who believes he is very talented and proud of himself. In reality, his only talent is stealing areca nuts and making TikTok videos. Damodar wants to go to Bangalore and become popular and the plot of the movie is about what he does to achieve his goal.
The film's teaser has already been released and has caught fans’ attention. It has got more than 11 lakh views on YouTube. Earlier, the film was featured in the PickurFlick Film Festival. There are 5 songs in the film, and Keerthan Balila has composed the music for all the songs. And ‘Damayana’ has now been selected for an international film festival even before its release.
