Darshan's lookalike nephew Manoj bags Yogaraj Bhat film

He stands tall at just over six feet and has an uncanny resemblance to his uncle - Kannada star Darshan. Meet Manoj, Darshan’s cousin’s son, who will soon be seen in a Yogaraj Bhat production, to be directed by one of his associates, Raj Pathipati. “A few years ago, Manoj starred in a film, which came and went unnoticed. His family is looking at re-launching him on a bigger scale and have entrusted us with the task. The plot of the film will be a love story, but given that he resembles Darshan so much, we are working on the script and screenplay to give him a similar image – that of a mass hero,” says Raj, who after assisting on two of Yogaraj’s film’s will make his directorial debut with this as-yet-untitled project. Manoj, meanwhile, is hoping that the film will work out well and help him make his family – Darshan and his brother, director Dinakar, included – proud. “Both of them have been very supportive of my decision to act in films. I don’t want to let them down,” says the youngster, who will be paired with a newbie actress.
