Darshan is currently in judicial custody in regard to his involvement in the ongoing Renukaswamy murder case. The actor will be turning 49 soon as he marks his birthday on February 16, 2026. As he will not take part in his birthday celebrations due to ongoing legal issues, his absence has made many fans emotional.
His official fan page, D Company, shared a note for all supporters. The message says the celebration will move towards social service instead of the usual birthday events.

Sharing a post on their Instagram handle, the post in English translation stated, “Praying to our Challenging Star Darshan Boss to go away from the difficult times and on the occasion of his 49th birthday, Shri Guru Kottureshwara Swamy Rathotsava - 2026 at Arasikere village of Harapanahalli Taluk, on behalf of our D-Boss Fans Army, Davanagere's team, essential food, water, ice in Arasikere village of Harapanahalli taluk Cream and juice supplied.”
Fans are encouraged to visit orphanages, old-age homes or centres for special children in their own taluks. They can donate food, fruits, clothes, books or medicines. They can also give their time and care.
Darshan’s work front
On the work front, Darshan was last seen in ‘The Devil’. Directed by Prakash Veer, it is a political action thriller, which sees Darshan in a dual role. The movie also features Mahesh Manjrekar, Rachana Rai, and Achyuth Kumar. The music of the film is composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. After a week, the movie made over Rs 24.50 crore as per Sacnilk.
