Darshan Thoogudeepa visits Mysuru farmhouse after securing bail in Renukaswamy murder case

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, recently granted bail by the Karnataka High Court in the Renukaswamy murder case, visited his Mysuru farmhouse on Friday following his release. The case involves the murder of 33-year-old fan Renukaswamy, for which Darshan, along with 15 others, was arrested on June 11.



The Bengaluru court recently eased restrictions on Darshan’s movements and travel, which had been imposed as the case remains under investigation. He arrived at the farmhouse, located on T Narasipura Road, approximately 25 kilometers from Mysuru City, at 3 PM, accompanied by a relative. The property is owned by Darshan's wife, Vijayalakshmi.



Upon his arrival, several family members and friends, including his mother, Meena Thoogudeepa, visited the farmhouse to meet him. To ensure privacy, the entrance and gate of the farmhouse were covered with sheets, preventing any outside view, and the premises were secured.

According to Pinkvilla, the court stated, “Application filed by Darshan under section 439(1)(b)/memo seeking permission is allowed in part. The accused No. 2 is permitted to travel to Mysuru and to stay there for a period from 20.12.2024 to 05.01.2025.”

Earlier, Darshan was granted interim bail on medical grounds in October and was released from Bellary jail on October 30. His current bail was secured a week ago, allowing him to return home. The actor had been hospitalized during his interim bail period.

The Renukaswamy murder case has drawn significant public and media attention. While the investigation continues, Darshan’s release and subsequent movements have been closely monitored.
