With Sandalwood wisening up to the perils of leaked film parts even before the release, the latest unit to put in place a no-gadgets policy is that of Darshan-starrer

Kranti

. Word is that all gadgets, audio or video, are a strict no-no and everyone except managers adhere to this rule.

"It's a rule that all of us, including director Harikrishna, Darshan sir and the technical team decided on unanimously. Yes, Darshan sir and

Rachita

(Ram) also diligently follow this rule and are respectful of it," shares the film's maker, Shylaja Nag.

"Also, our entire team including the actors, technicians and creative team will not give interviews to the media until the time is right to begin publicity. It's a joint decision and everyone will speak only when the team decides that the time is right," adds Shylaja, who tells us that a non-disclosure agreement is also in place for most of the team members.

And in true corporate speak, the team also has review meetings after pack-up to recall what happened that day and to discuss the next day's shoot.

"As for the reason behind these measures, it's because there's no fun in watching a film if bits and pieces of it get leaked online. Just for retweets, likes and shares, we can't have photos/videos of the movie being circulated. When we have a huge star like Darshan in a film, the way it is mounted truly matters. The curiosity factor has to remain until it hits the big screen," says Shylaja.
Director Harikrishna, a man of few words, sums up in his trademark style, "When you leave your phones behind, everyone is truly able to concentrate on work. So be it our artistes, the crew or me, we all understand the importance of being professional."
