Darshan’s 55th film, 'Kranti', directed by V Harikrishna, after their previous outing 'Yajamaana' in 2019, is releasing for January 26, 2023. The film, which is releasing for the Republic Day holiday, has been given ample time to work on the publicity of the film.
Darshan has been giving interviews to select media and social media influencers as most of the mainstream media are still maintaining distance from the star for the outburst against journalists in the past.
Speaking to the media, Darshan feels the film releasing on January 26 is the right time as the Sabarimala season begins in December and devotees will be busy in the pilgrimage. During Sankranti season, the farmers of Karnataka will be busy, so the team decided that January 26 would be the best time to release 'Kranti'.
'Kranti', directed by music director V Harikrishna, has
Rachita Ram. paired opposite Darshan for the third time. Darshan will be seen in the role of an NRI returning to India and saving Kannada medium school against the private schools and creating a movement against the prevailing education system. Though the film is being marketed as a pan-India release, Darshan had already clarified that he would promote it in Karnataka only as it's a Kannada film. The makers will dub it in other languages as usual.
