SD Aravinda on Tuesday took to his social media to share the news of his father passing away. The filmmaker had recently shared pictures with his brother and actor Avinash Sringeri Divakar, sister Akhila and the rest of the family as they celebrated their father's 75th birthday in September this year. The pictures showed the family celebrating the filmmaker's father's birthday.
Aravinda took to his social media to announce the news, following which several people sent their condolences.
Their father, who was retired, was facing some health issues regarding his throat and was admitted in a city hospital last week. He underwent an operation for the same and was reacting well. He was supposed to be discharged from the hospital today, but suffered a cardiac arrest.
Both Aravinda and brother Avinash, grandsons of legendary comedian Narasimharaju are known for their work in Sandalwood. Aravind's last film was Mataash - a story about demonetisation. Meanwhile, Avinash, who is also an art director, dabbles between art, movies and more.
Avinash was behind the project, which included Cantonment Railway Station getting a facelift with graffiti of Kempegowda, Yakshagana artits, Hampi's Stone Chariot and more. Aravind has also been inviting writers, assistant directors and has been conducting auditions for his next, which is a Kanglish film.
