Composer Thaman to make Sandalwood debut

Bangalore Times had reported earlier this year that Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar has been roped in to star in the Kannada remake of the Telugu blockbuster Dookudu. Now we have learnt that SS Thaman, who has composed songs for several films in the Telugu and Tamil film industry, will be making his debut in Sandalwood with the remake.
The yet-to-be-titled film is being directed by K Madesh and will go on the floors in November.The song recording for the film began recently, which saw Puneeth, Madesh, Thaman and lyricist Kaviraj in attendance.
It was reported that although top stars from Sandalwood tried to get the rights of the Telugu blockbuster, only Puneeth managed to grab the movie. Dookudu, which released in 2011 and starred Mahesh Babu and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles, is also slated to be remade in Tamil and Hindi, apart from Kannada.
