Telugu star
Chiranjeevi said he was not surprised by
Allu Sirish's decision to become an actor. He said that even though acting is in his blood, he didn't expect him to choose this path. Moreover, he said, Gouravam is not Sirish's debut film as he acted as a child artiste in Chiranjeevi's debut Hindi film,
Pratibandh.
Sirish is making his debut as lead actor in
Gouravam, which is produced by
Prakash Raj.
The film, which also stars
Yami Gautam of
Ullasa Utsaha fame, is releasing this weekend. Chiranjeevi added that he liked the trailer of the film and that he is sure that the film will be very unique as it is produced by Prakash Raj, as he is the kind of producer who believes that even producers should have creative instinct.
Chiranjeevi further said that the central theme of
Gouravam is a very topical issue as even today, people from some social groups are discriminated against by upper caste folk. This is the kind of social injustice that made Chiranjeevi himself enter politics.
