Charmi gets special praise

Telugu actress Charmi, who has been part of Kannada films like Lava Kusha, Dev S/o Mudde Gowda and Yaare Koogadali, essays the role of a prostitute for her next film Prema Oka Maikam, which is all set to hit theaters on August 30.
Produced by Venkata Suresh and Srikanth Surya and directed by Chandru, the film revolved around three characters — a call-girl, a singer and a writer.It also stars Rahul and Saranya Nag in lead roles, and was shot largely in Hyderabad and Bangalore. While Chandru said that all the actors have done a good job, he reserved special praise for Charmi, who he said “gave soul to the character and has won hearts”.
Born in Mumbai to a Punjabi-Sikh family, Charmi was lauded for her dedication to learn Telugu, which she managed to do in a short span. She has made a name for herself in southern cinema, and has acted opposite top actors in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada film industries. In Kannada, she was last seen in the Puneeth Rajkumar-starrer Yaare Koogadali.
