Director R Chandru is a happy man. The filmmaker, who works on only one film at a time to ensure that he gives the audiences a good quality product, has tasted success yet again with his fourth film, KoKo Koli Kothi. Apart from the fact that he now has a track record of having four consecutive hits, what makes this film extra special is that it has emerged victorious in a week when there were several other big releases.
On Friday evening, the producer of my film, Adhinarayan convened a success meet at a city hotel, at which he told the entire team how well the film has done, despite releasing in perhaps just half of the available theatres across the state since other big films like Businessman, Nanban, Bodyguard and Vettai also released. There was also a big Kannada release that week. So impressed is he with the business KoKo is doing that he is now planning to remake the film in Tamil and Telugu, says an elated Chandru.
According to Chandru, the producer is arranging special shows for prospective heroes for the remakes Mahesh Babu (Telugu) and Arya (Tamil). If all works out, I will be directing the remakes too, says Chandru. But thats not all the good news, adds the filmmaker.
Audiences have loved my film and called it a fast-paced entertainer that is not boring at any point. Kittys new action image has also been accepted, as has Telugu star Sriharis debut in Koko. Even the combination of R Chandru and Sanjjanaa has worked again. Sanjjanaa had done a special song for my film. It looks like shes become my lucky mascot, he signs off.
