Chandrajith Belliappa directs second short in Katha Sangama

We had reported earlier that Rishab Shetty’s dedication to the legendary filmmaker Puttanna Kanagal,

, will have seven directors, stories, musicians and cinematographers. The first short has been made by Kirannraj K and stars Hariprriya and Rishab.

And here’s news on the second short: it has been helmed by Chandrajith Belliappa, who was the assistant director and writer for Rishab and Rakshit Shetty’s Kirik Party.

Chandrajith’s film stars Kishore and Yagna Shetty, and is about a modern family and their values. “It’s a sweet tale of a father (Kishore) and daughter (four-year-old Mridinika). And there is a mother (Yagna), who is a silent protector,” says Chandrajith, adding that he cannot reveal anything more about it.

Interestingly, turning director wasn’t part of Chandrajith’s immediate plans, but when Rishab offered him this opportunity, it was too good to turn down. “As a producer, Rishab did not place any limitations, which was the greatest source of support; he gave me full liberty to do whatever I wanted,” says Chandrajith about the the movie. Arvind Kashyap is the cinematographer and Gagan Baderiya the music director.
