Last year, after the

scandal

involving the nightlife and showbiz industries in Bengaluru broke, one of the persons who was mainly in the spotlight was whistleblower and filmmaker Indrajit Lankesh, who advocated against drug abuse. He had even submitted his proofs and findings against people who allegedly partake in consumption and peddling of narcotics in Bengaluru. Following this, he spoke about how the big fish behind this need to be nabbed for the problem of

drug abuse

to be eradicated. Now, with the latest update on reports suggesting that the accused in the case, including actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani, had consumed drugs, Indrajit says that it is time to catch the big fish behind the drug scandal.

He further added that he had no personal vendetta against the ones who have been named in the chargesheet and adds that it is time for actions to be taken empathetically if they have been proven to be consumers of drugs. He says that all those who have been proven to be those indulging in drug abuse need to be given proper medical help to overcome this problem and the authorities need to look at this in an empathetic way.

The case that made headlines nationally last year around this time had Indrajit as one of the champions fighting against the eradication of drug supply in the country and he reiterates the same points even now, when the case has taken a new twist. It is to be seen what will happen in the case now.
