One of the most anticipated films of the season, the Darshan-starrer Bulbul that is set to release on May 10, is likely to be screened in more than 180 theatres across Karnataka in its opening week.Bulbul, which is a remake of the Telugu film
Darling, was slated for release in April. However, the film was not be released as originally planned as
Ambareesh, who plays a major role in the film, contested elections from Mandya constituency in the recent state elections.
This meant that the crew had to wait till the elections were over, despite it being cleared by the Censor Board three weeks ago. Now that the elections are over and that results also will be out by May 8, the film will release this Friday.
Another interesting aspect to note about the film is that
Darshan will be distributing the film through his Thoogudeepa Distributors banner.
