Reports suggest that
Darshan Thoogudeep and
Rachita Ram starrer
Bulbul has created a record of sorts. Bulbul, which is a remake of the Telugu film Darling, is said to have been sold for Rs 4.5 crore for satellite rights to Zee Kannada.
While films such as
Shiva and
Om have been sold for 2.5 crore,
Bulbul seems to have fetched just a little more than Puneeth Rajkumar's
Anna Bond, which apparently got Rs 4 crore for it's TV rights.
Darshan, who is thrilled about his recent release
Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna's success has yet another reason to celebrate.
Bulbul, produced by the lead actor's brother Dinakar Thoogudeep, is being directed by MD Shridhar. The film's audio launch took place recently where the film's music director V Harikrishna, actors Ambarish, Sharath Lohitashwa and Rachita Ram were present.
