'Buddhivantha' is one of the landmark films in Upendra's career which featured him as a conman who cheats on women with a purpose. The film is a remake of the Tamil film 'Naan Avan Illai' which was released in 2008 and went on to become the big hit of the year.
'Buddhivantha' sequel 'Buddhivantha 2' was announced in 2019 but it has been in the making for a long time and now on the eve of Upendra's birthday, the makers released a new poster for fans and announced that the film will be released soon. There can't be such an exciting phase for Upendra fans to have back to back releases with 'Buddhivantha 2' and 'Kabzaa'. The film is directed by R Jai and music is composed by Guru Kiran.
Upendra's performance was highly appreciated for the tactics he uses to cheat on each woman with intelligence and keeps escaping. The dialogues went on to become even more famous for all the trademark entertaining Upendra dialogues which were a rage during the release. Ever since 'Buddhivantha' became a huge hit at the box office, the urge for the sequel of 'Buddhivantha' was always awaited by Upendra fans.
