Biggest challenge was picking up North Karnataka dialect, says Kaashima

Having acted in films like Kasthuri Mahal and Temper, Kaashima Rafi says she has a dream role in her latest release, South Indian Hero, which sees her teaming up with actor Saarthak. The project, helmed by Naresh Kumar, is currently playing in cinema halls.
Kaashima, who plays a teacher in a village, says: “She is the heart and soul of the plot and allowed me to showcase my acting prowess. I had to learn the North Karnataka Kannada dialect and though I took time to pick up the nuances, my voice-over has come out well.”

The actor has signed a Tamil film which has Harish Kalyan and Kalyan Ram in lead roles and a pan-Indian ensemble cast. “I’ll start shooting next month,” she says.
