Bangalore Times had previously reported how Darling
Krishna will be teaming up with
Nagshekar for a romantic comedy titled
srikrishna@gmail.com. The
film
now has its leading lady,
Bhavana of Jackie and Tagaru fame. The filmmaker confirmed the news and also revealed some information about her role.
"This is a film that solely runs on the two protagonists, so both Krishna and Bhavana have very important roles. We chose her because of her acting abilities and also because the two of them have not acted together in a film before, so it would be a fresh combination," says Nagshekar, adding that Bhavana will be playing a lawyer.
He further reveals, "This is going to be a very mature, trendy subject, that will touch upon topics like extramarital affairs and living together, in a sensitive yet funny manner. This is going to be different from the films I have made so far and the story is very contemporary and tailored to suit the audience of today." As of now, the team has planned a schedule that is slated to kickstart from September 1 and will last for a fortnight.
"We already have music for the film ready by
Arjun Janya and we are elated about that. I am planning on simultaneously shooting for this film and my Telugu debut directorial, after which I will embark on my film with Shreyas K Manju," adds Nagshekar.
