Bhairathi Ranagal, Kannada cinema’s first prequel, will enthral all: Makers

Action-crime drama Bhairathi Ranagal starring Shivarajkumar and Rukmini Vasanth, is releasing today in theatres across Karnataka. This prequel to the 2017 Kannada film Mufti, penned and directed by Narthan, is produced by Geetha Pictures. Producer Geetha Shivarajkumar says, “This is our second production after Vedha. Shivarajkumar was enthusiastic about this project, which is possibly the first Kannada prequel. We’ve strived to maintain the highest production standards, ensuring every scene receives the attention it merits. We had planned a sequel initially, but the narrative was more suited for a prequel. Now, we have plans to develop a sequel as well.” She adds, “Bollywood actor Rahul Bose has returned to Kannada cinema after a long time with this film as Parande. We are glad that he has given his own voice to his character. Chaya Singh and Rukmini Vasanth have done a great job as well. We’re also planning to release the movie in other languages soon.”
