Being a multilingual actor helps me explore culture and people: Ester Noronha

Actor Ester Noronha, who was last seen in the Kannada movie Local Train alongside Darling Krishna, has signed on for a new psychological thriller directed by Ram Prasad. It will be shot in three languages. This will be her second collaboration with Ram.
Ester says, "Lanke had a good run at the box office. People appreciated my role, which inspired me to team up with Ram Prasad again. The story was conceived during the lockdown period. It has a non-linear narrative set against a beach backdrop. It has been improvised quite futuristically, and I am sure it will set a new benchmark. The shooting will happen in Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Mumbai, and Goa on one schedule. "
The actress recently completed shooting for another film, Inamdar, where she plays the lead. "That movie is based on the caste system. It talks about how people belonging to two different communities are divided based on skin colour. It is set in the 1970's and 80’s, and I represent a woman from the fairer section getting introduced to the dark-skinned community. My costumes and hairstyle have been changed to fit the era," she says. Ester has worked in Telugu, Konkani, Hindi, and Marathi. "I don’t enjoy monotony. I love exploring languages, food, people, and culture—something only cinema can offer. I am glad I am a part of the industry because films give me the opportunity to lead a versatile life that most other fields can’t offer. Soon, I am going to debut in Tamil and Malayalam as well. I am even more excited about that," she says.
Ester has also acted in web-series. "The influx of content in these platforms have convinced me that the future lies there," she says.
