Being a Kannada actor in a Hindi show was exciting: Yash Shetty

Kannada actor Yash Shetty believes that web series provides a level of character justification that movies often fail to deliver.

The actor, who has joined the Hindi web series The Secret of the Shiledars, shares, “In my experience, movies often overlook characters, but web series, with their extended format, allow each role to become significant and impact the story.”

"My approach has always been to focus on what I can bring to a character, regardless of its size or prominence. Since entering Kannada cinema, I've ensured that I have no restrictions when it comes to roles. This has served me well as a character artist. While I may not have achieved the conventional 'big break,' I've consistently received opportunities,” says Yash, who will be seen as a protagonist in Jungle Mangal.

‘Language allows me to get into the soul of a character’

The actor, who has also signed a Telugu project, adds, “Knowing Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu is a blessing, as it allows me to work across languages. Understanding the lingo lets me get into the soul of a character, which is impossible without it.”
