Baddie Arjun Gowda turns hero with a dark comedy

After playing roles with negative shades in

Kannada

films like Aa Drushya, Rustum and Odeya, power lifter-turned-actor

Arjun Gowda

is set to turn leading man. The actor has now bagged a

dark comedy

titled

WOW

(World of Windows) that will be directed by Girish G of Ondh Kathe Hella fame. The youngster, who currently has Ek Love Ya in his kitty, says that he is eagerly looking forward to see how people will accept him as a leading man in a film.

Arjun says, "I am elated that I got a film like this. It is a dark comedy that revolves around a few characters. Aishwarya Shindogi and I play the lead characters in the film. The film will have music by Arjun Janya and will feature an ensemble cast including artistes like Rockline Sudhakar, Biradar, PD Sathish Chandra and Jaggappa of Maja Bharatha fame. We are slated to begin work soon."

As for his role, Arjun says, "I play a classy playboy in the film. Until now, all my roles were violent and negative, and this time the character has more of romance and comedy and is into fitness too." The film will be launched on Monday in Bengaluru, with director Prem sounding the first clap.
