films has been stopped across Tamil Nadu, which has evoked strong reactions from Sandalwood celebrities. According to reports, cinema halls in Tamil Nadu have cancelled the screening of Kannada movies like Chakravarthy and Shuddhi.

Tami actor Sathyaraj, who made derogatory remarks against Kannadigas, before nine years during the Cauvery issue, was made to apologize, after Kannada activists threatened to stop the release of the movie Baahubali 2: The conclusion, which is slated for world wide release on April 28. Even director S S Rajamouli in a video requested Kannadigas to allow the release of the movie, which had failed to resolve the issue.

In Karnataka, Kannada acvtivisits are threatening to stop the the screening of Tamil movies, which will flare up the tension between the two states Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The Kannada organziations have also called for Bengaluru Bandh on April 28, to condemn Sathyaraj comments, who is playing pivotal Kattapa role in Baahubali 2: The conclusion. The members of pro-Kannada organizations and KFCC president Sa Ra Govindu have called a meeting today to decide the next course of action.
