B Vijayakumar’s century celebration

Producer and president of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, B Vijayakumar is a happy man. And he has a lot of reasons to be happy and celebrate. While some of his films like Mouna Geethe, Lion Jagapathi Rao, Jagadeka Veera and Simhadriya Simha completed 100 days, he is also embarking upon producing his 100^th film. Not only that, Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation, of which he has taken over as the chairman in the former BJP led government is celebrating its centenary year. He also took over as the president of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce at the 78th year of Kannada cinema and 100th year of Indian cinema. Vijayakumar, who also happens to be a philanthropist, has expressed his interest in producing the 100th film of Om Saiprakash. The last time the two worked together was when Saiprakash directed Lion Jagapathi Rao featuring Dr Vishnuvardhana and Lakshmi. The film had won two awards. While all this is going on in his life, Vijayakumar will be celebrating his son, Pawan Kumar’s wedding to Jayapriya on 23^rd May 2013.
