Ayogya presents life in a village and a cute love story
Today’s release, Ayogya, is the directorial debut of S Mahesh Kumar, a long-time associate of filmmaker Yogaraj Bhat. The young director, who faced a fair share of trouble in getting the project going, is a relieved man as the film, produced by TR
- The main highlight of Ayogya is that the story unfolds in a small village in Mandya. Audiences will be transported to that village for the duration of the film and will get to see how life goes on there.
- Sathish plays Sidda and Rachita Ram is Nandini, both of whom are characters inspired by people known to me back in my village. While writing the script, I was inspired by these two people, whom I have made characters with certain cinematic liberties.
- P Ravi Shankar’s turn as Bacchegowda, the local gram panchayat president, who is also the antagonist in the tale, is to look out for.
- The film also stars artistes like Kuri Pratap, Sadhu Kokila, Sunder Raj, Shivaraj KR Pete and Giri, among others, all of whom help take the narrative forward.
- But what truly elevates Ayogya is the music by Arjun Janya. This is Arjun’s first attempt for a Sathish Ninasam film and every song has been lapped up by audiences.

“I came into films by chance, as I am an entrepreneur. I look at films as a business in a corporate style, wherein it is a product that is not difficult to make. Getting it across to people is the difficult, but most important bit. The efforts I made for #Chamak ensured that it released across the world. And with Ayogya, we have raised the bar again. The reason I aligned with this project is because I loved the story. If a story has to be interesting, I have to look at it as a member of the audience and see if I am entertained for the two-odd hours of its run time. Mahesh’s narration was as good as watching the film. I loved the comedy in the story. I am a patriot, and the film has a pertinent message for society, especially in terms of elected representatives and Swachch Bharat.”
