Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar breaks her silence, thanks all the fans for their support
Late actor Puneeth Rajkumar's wife, Ashwini, has broken her silence for the maiden time after his tragic passing. Ashwini, who had chosen all along to not address the media and speak out on the incident, took to social media yesterday (16th of November) to share her thoughts on everything that transpired and most importantly express gratitude to all the fans who supported all the love and support.
"The untimely death of Sri. Puneeth Rajkumar has been shocking not only to the family but also the entire state of Karnataka. It is hard to imagine the extent of pain this loss would have brought on you - the fans who made him the 'Power Star'. Despite the pain that you have gone through, you have not lost your calm and not let any unpleasant incidents occur, ensuring a respectful farewell to Puneeth Rajkumar. It is with a heavy heart that I acknowledge the condolences from millions; not only cinephiles but people of all ages from India and abroad alike. I am in tears when I see thousands of you follow dear Appu's path and register for eye donation. He will live on in these good deeds that you do by keeping him as an ideal and also in the zeal that his memory inspires in you. On behalf of our entire family, heartfelt gratitude to all the fans and every individual for your love and support," wrote Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar in her emotional post.
Indeed, the past 18 days or so have been arduous, to say the least, for Puneeth Rajkumar's family but the pain and grief seemed shared among all the many million fans of Appu who, in their own little ways, extended tremendous support throughout. From the overwhelming display of their love to ensuring that the last rites and other rituals were conducted peacefully, or even extending his legacy by venturing into noble causes like eye donation, fans have been pillars of strength to the family.
