Ashika’s next sees her paired alongside Ajai Rao

Filmmaker Shashank is all set to back Ved Guru’s Thaayige Thakka Maga as his debut production and it will be Krishna Ajai Rao’s 25th film. The family drama now has its leading lady in place. Shashank confirms that Mugulu Nage-fame Ashika Ranganath has been roped in as the heroine and it will see her paired alongside Ajai for the first time. The film is slated to take off around this month end or in early December.It also has Sumalatha Ambareesh cast as Ajai’s mother. An interesting fact is that Sumalatha played Ajai’s mother in his debut film — Excuse Me and is now back sharing screen space with him in his landmark 25th film. Shashank and Ajai share a good rapport and they have collaborated for films such as Krishnan Love Story and Krishna Leela before, in which the former had directed the latter.
