Aryann Santosh talks about five films that inspired him to be an actor
Aryann Santosh, who is all set to make a comeback with the film Dear Sathya, is a huge movie buff. On #QuickTakesWithBangaloreTimes, the actor talks about film experiences and movies that inspired him to get into showbiz...
1. Daari Tappida Maga: I was raised in Ulsoor, Bengaluru and this place is famous for its festivals. So, at one of these festivals, there was this beedhi cinema or street cinema and I watched this film there.

Dr Rajkumar stars in the movie and it's a phenomenal film. I watched this film on this huge white screen.
2. Padikkadavan: This film stars Shivaji Ganesan and Rajnikanth and this was my first experience of a massy film. It introduced me to Rajnikanth and it's one of my most favourite films.
3. Rajavinte Makan: I have been a huge fan of Mohanlal. I remember watching this with my family, on television. We would rent the VHS tapes and watch films at home with some chai and pakodas.
4. Sholay: Back in those days, we would ride our bikes and go to the cinema halls and wait in queue to buy tickets. Sometimes we would buy a black ticket and watch the films. The experience was very different, because we were watching this larger than life persona on the big screen and this film was such a hit.
5. Apoorva Sagodharargal: Kamal Haasan has starred in this film and I could connect with his character. This film urged me to ask questions and how each character works in his own way. We would then imitate these actors and want to be like them.
