Arun makes a comeback to Sandalwood

Actor Arun, who rose to fame with the critically-acclaimed Gombegala Love, and took a hiatus from acting to turn to directing, is returning, albeit in front of the camera. Arun will be the lead in the upcoming Gibsi, to be directed by Srileshe Nair.
Arun, who was last seen onscreen in the 2017 film Dada Is Back, says, “I had taken a break from acting, as I wanted to direct and was committed to make a film with Sathish Ninasam.But he insisted that I should continue with acting. In fact, this movie was offered to me by Sathish. Gibsi, which is based on real-life incidents, will be shot in Shivamogga. The story revolves around illegal sand mining and has a mass subject. In a sense, the film is quite similar to the Tamil movie Vada Chennai, and will portray me in three or four different shades. We are looking at going on floors in January. The heroine and rest of the star cast is yet to be finalised.”
In the meantime, Arun will also play a pivotal role in Sathish's Petromax and will be shooting for his portions in December.
