'I have never done playback for a film. Niladri Kumar sir, who I consider my musical mentor, told me that he wanted voice that suited a rock track that he was working on. It is interesting, because South Indians know this particular song, as we hear it regularly in our households. I felt that it would be a special opportunity to render this track. I decided to give it maximum impact and hope that I've achieved what I wanted in the album,' he says, adding that he has worked with Niladri earlier on a couple of tracks.

Arjun adds that he was impressed with the team of Niruttara. 'I met Bhavana and Apurva, and they seemed upbeat about what they are doing and open to any creative process. These are the kind of people we require when it comes to supporting and keeping contemporary art relevant and alive,' he says.

Quiz Arjun about the viral Every

Bollywood

Party Song, which took on the institution of successful Bollywood music party song composers, and he says, 'There was no disrespect to any musician. It was just a stab at the formulaic way of creating songs, and was done in good humour. I just looked at it as a voice artiste and not a singing job. It was a great project to be a part of. Eventually, I respect all the people in the entertainment industry, because there are so many out there who do good work.'

The Mumbai-based singer says that he is working on an upcoming track with Niladri, which involves the zitar and electronic music. He also has a few assignments as a composer in Bollywood in his kitty, apart from upcoming albums with his two bands.
