Arjun Gowda is the newest Sandalwood baddie on the block

Bodybuilding and power-lifting champion Arjun Gowda is all set to enter the film industry. The youngster, who is also a motivational speaker and nutritionist, will soon be seen as one of the villains in Shivarajkumar’s Rustum, which is the directorial debut of stunt director Ravi Varma. “I wanted to get into acting after my stint as a power-lifter and bodybuilder.This was when I tried my luck with serials. Unfortunately, nothing really worked out for me. It was then that someone referred me to filmmaker Jayanna’s office. What was supposed to be a meeting for a small role in the film soon ended up with me auditioning and bagging one of the main antagonists in the film,” says Arjun. He has since signed three other films. “Rustum led me to getting Aa Drishya with V Ravichandran sir. I play the negative lead and will be seen throughout the film. I have also done a small but important role in Odeya, which stars Darshan. I’ve now bagged Mada Gaja, which has Sriimurali in the lead,” says Arjun.
