Actress
Anusha Rai is extending her horizons beyond Sandalwood. The actress will be seen in her debut English hip hop music video called
Aicha
. The song which is crooned by Dubai-based singer Sanoof Mohammed, will be released next month.
Anusha Rai says, “
Aicha, which has a bit of Arabic lyrics as well, will impress particularly younger people. I will be seen along with Vageesh with whom I fall in love. The song captures the bonding of the couple, how they fight and later get separated and then unite again. It is being shot aesthetically in pristine locations of
Kerala. I am doing this kind of song for the first time in my career and it showcases my dancing prowess.”
The actress has also signed an anthology film,
Pentagon
. “My portions directed by
Guru Deshpande are completely set in a village in the 1980s. I play the role of an innocent rural girl.
Ravishankar
is seen in the role of my father. It was a learning experience to work with actors like Ravishankar, from whom I picked up the nuances of acting,” says Anusha, who will be seen as a younger sister in Nikhil Kumarswamy-starrer, Rider.
