Anupama Gowda’s next has a title borrowed from an 80s classic

Actress Anupama Gowda rose to household popularity after her stint in Bigg Boss Kannada. She’s now looking at a career in films with a few projects in her kitty. Her next, which she has nearly completed shoot for, is titled Benkiyalli Aralida Hoovu, which has a title borrowed from a classic 80s film that was directed by K Balachander and had Suhasini in the lead.
Anupama says the similarity between her film and the old one ends there.“Of course, this film too has a strong woman protagonist, who I am playing. She works in a garment factory and this film is a simple story about all her struggles and troubles,” says the actress.
Anupama adds that it was a challenging role as she had to get her body language right.
