of the much awaited Sudeep-starrer

Phantom

has been changed to Vikrant Rona. The new title logo launch and a sneak peek into the character

Vikrant Rona

on Bhurj Khalifa, Dubai, will take place on January 31, on the occasion of Sudeep completing 25 years in the film industry.

Revealing the reasons for changing the title, Anup Bhandari says, “The reason why we changed the title must be haunting everyone. It is because of you people we had to change the title. On the first day of the shoot, Sudeep had posted a picture of him mentioning it as Vikrant Rona reporting to duty, which trended more than the original title. That forced us to change the title. We want to confirm that the title Vikrant Rona is not borrowed from anywhere. It is our hero’s name in the film.”

The film also has Nirup Bhandari as Sanjeev Gambhir, Neetha Ashok as Aparna Ballal, Siddu Moolimani, Ravishankar Gowda, Chitkala Biradar, Madhusudhan and Ramesh Rai among the supporting cast. Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen in a special role. The female protagonist of the movie is yet to be revealed. B Ajaneesh Loknath is the music director and William David is the cinematographer. The movie is produced by Jack Manju and Alankar Pandian.
