Anu Prabhakar Mukherjee to make her Telugu screen debut

Anu Prabhakar Mukherjee is venturing beyond the Sandalwood industry. She is taking a step into the Tollywood industry with the movie Agent, directed by Surender Reddy. The movie has Akhil Akkineni and Sakshi Vaidya in the lead roles.
The actor, who has finished shooting her part, says, "My Tamil films have been dubbed into Telugu in the past, but Agent is my proper debut project. I have been paired opposite Murali Sharma in the movie. He seemed very impressed by my Telugu diction and asked me to dub for my character. It is up to the team to take a final call once the shoot is finished, because conversing normally and dubbing for a role are two different things," she says.

Sharing her experience of working in Telugu cinema, Anu says Surender Reddy plans shoots meticulously. "Everything progresses at a rapid pace. He creates a comfortable zone where everyone can stay relaxed and concentrate on work. He knows how to get the best out of everyone. It is also lovely to see the younger generation of actors performing on the sets," she says.
In Sandalwood, Anu, who was last seen in Bairagee, has a couple of more movies in the pipeline. "I play an important role in Haga, a suspense thriller directed by Avinash. I can’t reveal much about my character without revealing the plot. I have also signed for the film Melody Drama, where I play a role with negative shades. I don’t think the audience has seen me like that before. It will be a surprise. The movie has a very young and creative team led by Manju Karthik," she says.
Anu continues to balance her television and film career. She is currently shooting for Nannamma Superstar Season 2. "It is fun watching children on the show. I just shoot one day a week for a television show and the rest is dedicated to films," she sums up.
