Ankit Tiwari comes to Sandalwood

Singer and composer Ankit Tiwari, who mesmerized audiences across India with his song Sun Raha Hai Na from Ashiqui 2 is Sandalwood bound, with his first Kannada song in Dil Rangeela. Music director Arjun Janya, who is known to have a penchant for Bollywood singers, was instrumental in getting Ankit to sing the song that has lyrics by Jayanth Kaikini.
Despite the language barrier, Ankit says that he decided to take up the song because of Arjun.“Initially, I was hesitant, but the composer convinced me and I have given my best to this song,” says Ankit. Arjun, a fan of Ankit after his song in Ashiqui 2, is happy to have the singer on board. “I was blown away by his voice and the song he sang in his Hindi film. I wanted to use him for a Kannada movie and was able to rope him in for Dil Rangeela. This is the first time that Ankit is singing in another language and I am happy the song has turned out well,” says Arjun.
