film debut, Second Hand Lover, did no promotions, and audiences were not even aware that I was a part of the film,' says the actress, who will be seen in this week's release

Karvva

. Working in Second Hand Lover, though, is what paved the way for Anisha's second Kannada film.

'Director Navaneeth had assisted on Second Hand Lover, and called me when he started working on Karvva. He thought that I would be perfect for a particular character in the film. I was happy for Navaneeth, as he was making the transition from assistant director to director. I was also excited that he was offering me a role in a thriller, which I had not done before. Initially, though, it seemed that another acting commitment would not allow me to take it up, but it all worked out and I became a part of the film,' says Anisha. Considering that the story of Karvva takes place over the course of one day, the actress says that it would not be fair to divulge too much about her character. 'It's an interesting role, as she is very unpredictable and has various shades to her personality,' is all that Anisha is willing to share.

So, what does she cherish the most from the making of the film? 'Apart from working with a talented cast and crew, I got to shoot in Bengaluru. It is my favourite city. My brother lives here and I got to spend a lot of time with my nephew. That was bliss,' she signs off.
