Taking a tough stand on
social media impostors
holding an active account in his name,
veteran actor Anant Nag
issued a statement saying that he would not be taking the issue lightly. Releasing a statement online and circulating it, Anant's team added, "The letter on behalf of
Anant Nag Sir. It is observed that there are accounts created in the name of
Anant Nag sir
, on social media platform. Some of them claim to be run by family; this is to clarify that 'He is Not On Social Media Platform'. "
The letter clearly has the actor informing his fans and followers who are following such fake accounts to not indulge in any conversation with the account holder. "Requesting one and all to kindly refrain from indulging in such acts, and to the ones interacting with it, please do note that these are impostor accounts. They may be created either to take advantage of his image, or to gather followers in his name. We've already started the process of bringing such accounts down. Anant Nag sir has also informed the police to take strict action against those indulging in such act," read the statement.
The letter clearly shows the actor's no-nonsense approach towards such fraudsters and seems like he would proactively work towards getting rid of each of such accounts.
