This is the first time Ambareesh has become a minister in the state government. An excited Ambareesh said, “For the first time in Karnataka history, we have got the same government both at centre and state, which helps to do more development works and we are confident of being a 100% clean government." "I will work efficiently no matter which portfolio I'm assigned,” he added.
The actor's fans, who thronged the venue on Saturday, distributed sweets after the ceremony. Large scale celebrations are reported to be taking place in his home district Mandya. Meanwhile, Ambareesh starrer Bul Bul, which has Darshan and Rachita Ram in the lead roles, is raking up moolah at the Box Office. The movie is the remake of Telugu film Darling.
