Aindrita gets Tamil & Bengali offers
The past month has been hectic for Aindrita Ray what with shooting for Veera Parampare and Manasina Matthu, heading to the US for an AKKA (Association of Kannada Kootas of America) do in New Jersey, stopping by in Hyderabad for an award ceremony, and then attending the audio release of Veera Parampare in Bangalore. I am going to take a break this whole month, says the actress, who is content to sit back for a bit while three of her films Dhool with Yogi, Veera Parampare with Sudeep, and Manasina Matthu with Ajay hit theatres.

Having so many of her films release within the span of three months, however, is not the way Aindrita would have liked her filmography to read. I dont want to be seen too much on-screen. You need a bit of a gap. Dhool and Manasina Matthu were pending projects. But release dates dont really depend on the actor, but the producer, says Andy, adding that her next project may not even be in Kannada because she has so many Sandalwood releases lined up. I will hopefully venture into a different language. Ive been getting offers in Tamil and Bengali, says the Bong lass.
Aindrita also says that doing a Yogaraj Bhat film like Manasaare has raised peoples expectations of her ability as an actress. He tries something different with each of his projects. Mungaru Male was a pure romance, and Gaalipata was a fun romance. With Manasaare, he tried something very different a love story set in a mental asylum. I got a lot of scope to perform because I played a mentally challenged girl. It wasnt the regular college-going character, explains Aindrita. Moreover, doing a film under Rockline Venkateshs banner meant that audiences would definitely get to see her play a different role, which didnt happen, for instance, with Vaayuputra in which she played a tomboy.
For now, the actress will stick to her one-film-at-a-time philosophy, but take on fewer projects. Doing a Yogaraj Bhat film has made me more picky than I was before, so I will take on fewer projects, says Andy.
