December will see Sandalwood’s love birds, actors
Aindrita Ray and Diganth Manchale, tie the knot on the 12th. The couple, though, has been busy with both Aindrita and Diganth shooting for their respective films. But they’ve begun inviting their close friends and family to ensure that they are present on their big day. To recognise the cultural mix, the couple has come up with a cute hashtag — #BongWedsBomman (Bong being colloquial for Bengali, Aindrita’s roots, and Bomman signifying Brahmin, Diganth’s background).
“Diganth’s sister-in-law Swathi and I sat together and came up with the invites and the words, to ensure that it signifies a little bit of both of our worlds. We are also giving Midimavinkai Pickle that you see in Brahmin households of Karnataka, and Nolen Gur Rasgulla, which is a favourite in Bengali households during festivities and celebrations,” says Aindrita.
