Bengaluru-based actress Rachel David, who is known for her films in the Malayalam film industry, has her Kannada debut slated soon with Love Mocktail 2. She is, however, set to branch out in Tamil too – with a film titled Walking Talking Strawberry Ice Cream that will be shot in Pondicherry.

The film, which is being backed by Vignesh Shivan, is being directed by

plays the lead, while

Sai

, a former associate of cinematographer Rathnavelu, fills in as the cinematographer. "It was interesting how the team found me. One of the members of the direction team landed on my social media profile, where they sent me a message. I did my first ever online audition for this role. After a couple of rounds, they confirmed me for the part and I am thrilled that I get to work with this team and also set foot in a new film industry with this film," she says.
Rachel adds that she is currently rehearsing online with the director and that too, is a new experience. "We are doing workshops online. I cannot wait to meet the team in person and begin my new journey," she shares. The actress also is eager for the release of her next Malayalam film Kaaval which stars Suresh Gopi.
